Jersey City Episcopal Community Development Corporation Completes The Construction Of The All Saints Supportive Housing Development on Bergen Avenue In Jersey City

Jersey City Episcopal Community Development Coporation (JCECDC)  completed the construction of its 4th Corpus Christies Ministries Housing (CCMH) development on Bergen Avenue in Jersey City.  For over 14 years, JCECDC’s CCMH program has been dedicated to serving special needs populations living in the Jersey City community by providing affordable housing that is integrated with services.  With the completion of this project, CCMH will house over 50 people in four supportive housing developments throughout the City.  The All Saints Supportive Housing Development  provides critically needed affordable housing to  eight individuals with special needs.  JCECDC held a ribbon cutting ceremony on March 25, 2009 at 10am at the development site to celebrate the completion of construction. The program included Honorable Mayor Jeremiah Healy, Councilwoman Viola Richardson, NJDCA Commissioner Joseph V. Doria,  USHUD Newark Office Director Diane Johnson, and the NJ Director for the Corporation for Supportive Housing Alison Recca-Ryan.

Jersey City Episcopal Community Development Corporation to Start the Construction of 7 Affordable Condominiums and 2,000 Square Feet of Commercial Space at 167-169 Monticello Avenue in Jersey City

Jersey City Episcopal Community Development Coporation (JCECDC) celebrated the construction start of its 4th home ownership project at 167-169 Moniticello Avenue.  This project will provide 7 affordable condominiums for households of moderate income and 2,000 square feet of commercial space on the ground floor. The groundbreaking ceremony took place on May 4, 2009 and the program included  Hon. Mayor Jerramiah T. Healy, Councilwoman Viola Richardson, Council President Mariano Vega,  Jersey City Redevelopment Agency Assistant Executive Director Chris Fiore,  Housing, Economic, Development and Commerce Director Carl Czaplicki,   PNC Bank, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Bergen Communities United and Monticello CDC.

167-169 Monticello Avenue is being developed by the JCECDC’s Division of Real Estate Development, designed by John C. Inglese Architecture and constructed by DAR construction.  This community includes 4 two bedroom units at 900 square feet each and 3 one bedroom units at 700 square feet each, rear yard and enclosed patio. 2 bedroom units will sell for $125,000 and 1 bedroom units will sell for $95,000 to eligible households.

Residential Intensive Support Team (RIST)
JCECDC has been awarded funding from the NJ Division of Mental Health Services for Hudson County’s first Residential Intensive Support Team (RIST) Program. The RIST Program targets consumers who are living with serious mental illness and are homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness.
