Eligibility

JCECDC prides itself in providing quality affordable housing to qualified low and moderate income first time home buyers.

  1. Must be 1st time home buyer- If you owned a home before, you must have sold it or removed your name from the deed 3 years prior to buying this housing

  2. Households cannot exceed the following income maximums- Please account for income for ALL Household members that will occupy the unit. Please note that you should not factor in student income or overtime wages that are not mandatory in determining your maximum income.  You must factor other benefits like child support, social security, unemployment and the like.

  3. Must be able to obtain financing from a mortgage company

  4. Must demonstrate a minimum of 3.5% of purchase price for down payment and $6,000 in savings for closing costs.

  5. Must have completed a first time home buyer training-  You can apply without completing this. However, you must complete before you purchase the home. The training is provided free by JCECDC.
