June 2009- JCECDC secures $922,000 from the City’s Neighborhood Stabilization Program to acquire 10-15 foreclosed two family homes for rehab and resale to moderate and middle income households. For more information about this project, click here.

June 2009- JCECDC receives $5,000 grant from Capitol One to cover expenses related to participation in the Housing and Community Development Network’s Scattered Site Rehabilitation Program.
May 2009- JCECDC receives $3,500 grant from Home Depot to cover expenses related to LEED certification at 167-169 Monticello

April 2009- JCECDC received a $930,000 commitment from Jersey City HOME Program to build another 5 brand new two family homes on Van Nostrand Ave and Oak Street
April 2009- JCECDC receives a recommendation for funding for $143,000 from the City’s HOME Program to acquire Houses of Hope and create 6 units of supportive housing
February 2009- JCECDC completes the construction of the Greenville Homes.
What We Do
1. Home ownership opportunities for moderate and middle income first time home buyers. This includes the new construction of two family homes and condominiums and the acquisition, rehab of two family homes for resale.
2. Permanent supportive rental housing of people and families with special needs. This includes multifamily building and congregate living facilities.
3. Multifamily rental housing opportunities for low and moderate income households, including seniors.
4. Mixed use development to help revitalize Jersey City’s retail corridors.
