Jersey City Episcopal Community Development Corporation's Division of Supportive Housing and Social Services provides the Hudson County community with a wide array of services and programs to meet the community's complex and ever changing needs. Our guiding principles are to promote independence and self-sufficiency, and improve quality of life for all of our consumers. Our work is to foster housing, social service, and economic development to address issues of poverty. Our services are consumer directed and are founded on consumer responsibility and participation in enhancing the quality of their own lives.
Our programs include Corpus Christi Ministries Housing (CCMH), Hudson Creating Alliances to Shelter All (Hudson CASA), Special Initiative-Hudson CASA for Families, The Hudson CASA Recovery Support Project, Shelter Plus Care, and the Residential Intensive Support Team Program (RIST).
Highlights
- JCECDC Client Advocates to End Homelessness at Congressional Reception in DC.
- The Division of Supportive Housing and Social Services was recently awarded funding from the New Jersey AIDS Partnership to begin the Hudson CASA Recovery Support Project in partnership with the Church of the Incarnation. We are very excited about this opportunity to develop new services for homeless and at- risk consumers.
- JCECDC was awarded funding to initiate the Residential Intensive Support Team Project to provide housing and intensive support services to homeless consumers who are living with mental illness.
- The CCMH program is expanding! Our newest homes include the addition of 14 units at 2 different
locations! These beautiful homes will allow us to provide permanent supportive housing to even more consumers in our community. Both properties opened their doors in May 2009.
